Located in a place that is difficult to access, the castle of El Cuerno lies close to the village of Fuentes de León in the province of Badajoz.
After centuries have passed the castle of El Cuerno still stands proudly in the municipality of Fuentes de León, Badajoz province. It is difficult to access as it is located in the mountains, around seven kilometres from the village. It dates back to between the 9th and 14th centuries, and is of Arab origin, although it was later subjected to restructuring on several occasions under the military orders of the Temple and Santiago.
