Mid-13th century, near Alburquerque on the Sierra de Santiago, the majestic Azagala castle was built in stone and masonry work. It is rectangular and it is divided into three different enclosures.

In the construction, its square tower, the arms tower, made up of two floors and built with granite and masonry, is worthy of note; it is connected by the castle walls to the "smoke tower", which has a chapel inside it. The keep is also noteworthy, crowned with a Mudéjar-style campanile.

The castle is private property and cannot be visited inside nowadays, although you can see its exterior beauty.
